Remember The Lord
Wherever you find yourself in life remember the Lord. I believe we are all at different spots in our life right now whether it be mentally or physically. However, many of us are still experiencing a vast variety of the same things such as uncertainty and grief. I pray this writing encourages you and helps you remember not only are you not alone, but the promises of God apply and are true wherever you are in life.
I was reading in Jeremiah 51 as the Lord spoke to his people about his plan for destruction and how he was going to save them. In verse 50 the Lord said "you are in a faraway land, but remember the Lord where you are and remember Jerusalem". This stood out to me as a bright reminder of God's promises and just a reminder of what He calls us to be and do.
We believe God's promises and his promises should be a pull to be actionable in our faith and trust. The bible reminds us many times not to worry, do things on our own, and just to trust God. I particularly pay close attention to stories in the Bible where the people are experiencing a great shake up in their lives like we are today. What we find in those instances is God's message, assurances, and promises remain the same. Life has completely changed for the whole world and like never before its become a heavy challenge to navigate our day-to-day. It's not easy. So many things take us off guard in an instant, but guess what the Lord knows and he made us to be connected to Him. I take comfort in knowing that God knows this and he understands. Yes, the Lord understands and cares about what we feel. At the same time He calls us not to waiver nor give up because He is the Lord All Powerful and even with the knowledge and heaviness of hurt and confusion, He's promised that those that depend on Him are blessed. God will always be God for us, his people who believe Him. God has said let not your heart be troubled. He assured his people in Jeremiah, He knew the plans He had for them and He was getting ready to shake some things up and they would be sustained.
Depending on the Lord when times are rough and confusing is a battle in and of itself. However, take heart and be of good courage in your pursuit and purity before God because those difficult times are exactly what Jesus Christ said you've already overcome and navigated through, by faith. I thank God for the truth that sets us free. My prayer is that people will have the mindset and heart intention to follow God's word and let Him be their peace, comfort, and guide no matter what. Remember we are in this together. Believers all over the world are familiar with the ups and downs of the journey of faith. What we aren't familiar with is all the happenings of this world and how things will change. Only the Lord knows all those details and He is absolutely and positively for us. So we can rest in Him. I believe He smiles upon us when we refuse to indulge the enemy telling us we should just give up because there's no hope for anything else. WRONG! God is a God of goodness, mercy, kindesss, and he has a plan. He's always up to something so lift up your head and remember the Lord and His promises wherever you are today and however you feel.
Be encouraged.
Very good reminder. God is definitely smiling and pleased with us when we turn to him in the midst of unknowns.
