Fear Is Blocking My Way

Are you Living Strong Faith or Strong Fear?

Each and every day your faith is greater than your fear. Fear is fake. Fear deals with the unknown, but we must dismiss it with the truth that we know about God. Depending on the topic, I'm still growing in this level of faith as well. I must say as I continue to evolve through this, I can feel myself opening up more and more in my trust, hope, and confidence in God. We live with so much uncertainty in life and we are guarded as well as a result of past hurt, disappointment, and we just aren't sure about trusting God with some things even though we say we love Him. If you love God, do as He asks. The results are in your best interest and you will be acting in obedience. God tells us to lean not to our own understanding but to trust and acknowledge Him. God is waiting to blow your mind as you move forward in Him. Having the desire is already the first part of it, but you must release all the pieces of what you desire for Him to mend back together or use them to create something new.
You wont get any further in your journey in Christ if you continually let fear beat up your faith. Your faith is stronger. Use it. Put it to work. I remember trying to explain to my youngest son the power in his legs and how he would be able to "swing" himself at the park if he would just pump his legs. I'm sure he was unsure how to do it, maybe just a little doubtful about it working, or just wanting his mommy :-) to push him. All that's understandable and fine, but if you relate this to us wanting more out of life as we walk with Christ, at some point just like a child learns to use their legs on a swing we must use our faith. Whatever you're afraid of that's keeping you stuck even though you keep asking God to move, God is waiting for movement and growth in you. Acknowledge that God is all powerful in your life, even in the face of fear and he will lead you.
Fear is a spirit and ultimately a strong hold and it requires to be dealt with as such. We were not created to fear, but life and the world has shown us this and we've adapted it and are living it. What God says is what matters and that will always be the truth. We use this truth to keep fear from stunting our growth in Christ, in life, and pursuing our God given destiny. Will we be scared at times? Of course, but its one thing to feel fear and "courage" your way past it and its another thing to feel fear and let it stop you.
To break this strong hold you have to deactivate fear because it will actively run your life if you let it. Use the tool of prayer even if you have to begin with others praying and believing for you. An accountability partner you trust is always a great option as you begin taking steps to combat fear. Study and believe God's word for yourself and apply it. When I'm learning new things about a subject in the bible, I always find at least 1-3 scriptures on the subject and I learn them and repeat them. Writing them where you can see them throughout the day is helpful as well. Most importantly, keep going. When you start this journey past fear don't stop. Stay committed to your change. If you fall down, pick yourself up and start again. Remember the race is given to the one who endures til the end.

Be encouraged. Think big picture as well...What will I miss and who will be effected in my life if fear continues to make me forfeit my purpose?
